Awn bahgu lawan-mata jimajatu bihaun,
Bangsa-Fatima,magpatindug sin Kasanyangan;
Bangsa-Fatima,magpatindug mga kawman;
Isukan MAMINDAHI kabtangan ha unahan
Ha babai -in ini- nahinang kawajiban.
Ha haggut-lima niya, buhangin iyulinan;
Na-ayak ha ut sin bukug-gulamay.
Du-un ha pagun sin bitis, buggat sin puun-tiyan liyutu;
Hati yaun pa mga anak ha daghal piyadu'ru'.
Ha tuktuk kilay niya, timuna' in abu sin bunu';
Duun ha bayhu, kiya-ukkil in dalil-pattah!
Ha mata niya, kiya-saminan in kamatay;
Duun ha simud, kimummi' in tangis-umaw!
Bihaun, Tubig na-a-angpud ha pilukmata niya imanud-nanugas;
Tiyandak karuwa siki, dwa lima tyabiran ha astul
Pag-kignut sin agaba, bayhu niya marbol
Namilu, nakumut ha ruhun sin bungsi agad pasu-atay!
Sumagawah, isugan niya imuyum misan siya agun tangisun,
Pangatayan lyatapan sin luha kimu-kubbut lima-lagublub,
Ah,yaun! lawan-mata sin masa limabay masi' nangjuri:
Pasal mga Gagandilan, liyulubu' in kasanyangan,
Pasal mga Gagandilan, nagpapatindug sin bunu'-malangsa
Pagsahi di-i katu' ra Fatima-isug-pipisan
in bunu' hipabarmula pa Salaam.

A new vision is taking place,
Foreseeing women building peace;
Envisioning women building communities;
Qualified by the word TRANSFORMATIVE:
For women, this has become imperative.
Upon her delicate hands, she cups grains of sand;
As it sifted itself through her bony phalange.
Upon her supple limbs, she bears the weight of womb;
As she suckles her babies upon her bosom.
Upon her brows, settled ashes of war;
Upon her face, carved its pictographs!
Upon her eyes, mirrored deathly scenes;
Upon her lips, quiver a silent cry!
Now fiery water flow forth from her frozen lashes;
As she stomps her feet, wrings her hands.
As she shrugs her shoulders, her marble face
Turns apoplectic; contorts from revolting fury!
Yet she braves a smile though she seems to cry,
Her heart floods with pulsing, raging tears,
As an old vision persists to tease:
Of Men destroying PEACE,
Of Men building "fishy" WARS;
For us feisty women to transform into PEACE!

THE offense made by Ms Bigornia is a LETHAL one since the insensitivity of STEREOTYPING offended not merely the 14 suspects but all Muslims and Islam.

[NOTA BENE: HYPOTHETICALLY: Had another example been such as NPA men could have been arrested... would MS BIGORNIA have identified these "X-number of men as to their X-type of religion" similarly to those 14 men arrested???... or is the MUSLIM-ISLAM as a term a "parapraxis" borne out of automatic stereotyping and racial as well religious discrimination against MUSLIM-ISLAM? ]

SUCH LETHAL IMPACT of a mindless FAUX PAS must be brought to MS BIGORNIA's attention and to the TV station where she works and to the public in the spirit of upholding the wisdom of ENGENDERING Peace Journalism and NOT ENDANGERING Peace between Muslims and other diverse religious faiths in the Philippines.

The NCMF, CHR, OPAPP must collaborate in order to stop "stereotyping-foibles" by media against religion, in order to hew proactively the seedlings of unpeace fertilized by bigotry, prejudices, racial and religious discrimination that can also possibly burgeon into senseless violence.

It can be observed that with regard to news in the Philippines and across the globe generally speaking, nowhere can you listen to or read news explicitly identifying CRIMINALS or TERRORISTS by their religious faiths such as Iglesia ni Kristo, Christian, Protestant, Catholic, Seventh Day Adventist, Buddhist, Hindu, Anglican, Mormon, Scientologist, (or absence of it) atheist, animist, etcetera .... except when it comes to MUSLIMS.
MEDIA'S clout is powerful; it shapes and influences the minds and hearts of people either positively or negatively.

Irrelevantly STEREOTYPING a particular religion via news whether done unintentionally can significantly breed bigotry, prejudices and racial as well as religious discrimination. Such type of irresponsible reporting engenders unPEACE and IGNORANCE.

One can restrain oneself in order to exercise utmost patience and sobriety but one cannot control the hurt, pain, insult, dejection, effrontery being felt by OTHER brethren in faith especially so that such has the tendency to spiral unchecked into social schism or worst even violence.

Racial/Religious discrimination as well as bigotry is a reality.... an OFFENSE which even EXISTING LAWS (either enacted or ratified) that PROHIBIT IT cannot fulfill or protect SIMPLY BECAUSE people are most inclined to ASSERT their own rights than to FULFILL the rights of their fellow human beings...
