: "O Allah , Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You
will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom
You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good.
Indeed, You are over all things competent.
اللَّهُمَّ
مَالِكَ الْمُلْكِ تُؤْتِي الْمُلْكَ مَن تَشَاءُ وَتَنزِعُ الْمُلْكَ
مِمَّن تَشَاءُ وَتُعِزُّ مَن تَشَاءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَن تَشَاءُ ۖ بِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Surah Al-Imran ,verse 26
24. “Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was instructed to make this supplication in Surah Al-Imran. This verse refers to the situation of the Israelites. They had the kingdom, and Allah took it away. Israelites, who were a living nation, are turned into a spiritually dead community. Arabs, who were spiritually at the abyss, are now bustling with life with the message of Islam brought by Muhammad (PBUH). Any student of history will attest that many nations and kingdoms, which were once blessed by Allah are in a dismay now. Allah made them spiritually dead, politically and financially bankrupt, just because these people went away from Truth. In our daily situation when we are at the pit of troubles and devastated morally, spiritually or in worldly affairs, only Allah can bring us back. When we are in distress, a sincere supplication to Allah can turn things 180 degrees.”
